USAHello.org launches online Afghan Resource Center.
Welcome.US selects USAHello as the national partner to offer resources for Afghan newcomers.
The center provides essential information on starting life in the USA translated in Pashto and Dari.

October 13, 2021, USA — USAHello is proud to announce the launch of the Afghan Resource Center, a comprehensive online hub professionally translated in Dari and Pashto to help Afghans start their lives here in the USA. The resource center features content on visa options and benefits available for Afghan newcomers. Additionally, practical information is provided on U.S. laws, finding a job, family reunification and immigration, understanding American culture, setting up finances, healthcare, education, and more. Visitors to the site can access the free FindHello app to connect to 4000+ local resources and service providers across the country.

When USAHello was called upon by Welcome.US to serve as the primary information resource for our new Afghan neighbors, the organization was able to respond quickly to meet the needs of incoming evacuees. The Afghan Resource Center builds on the vast content USAHello already offers. USAHello worked with Communications Essentials LLC to connect with Afghan translators here in the U.S. to add Dari and Pashto. USAHello is grateful for community input, including Afghans who arrived through the SIV program in previous years, in developing the center to ensure it is a compilation of useful and relevant resources.

«As an Afghan-American, this past month has been incredibly heavy for members of my community and Afghans across the globe experiencing collective grief. The ability to channel some of that energy through Medallia’s #GlobalWeekofGiving and supporting USAHello’s efforts have me moved, grateful, and inspired.»
-Sophie Hossein,
Medallia Global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Communications & Brand Lead

“USAHello prioritizes professional translations, with translated materials crucial to supporting our newest community members in the US. I understand this from my own experience coming to the US from Iraq.”
– Marwah Alobaidi, USAHello Translation & Community Program Manager

“At this critical moment in history, I am inspired to be part of this compassionate and caring team.
USAHello is taking the lead in helping new Americans build brighter futures. As an immigrant, I struggled to find accurate information about US life when I first arrived. Now, thanks to USAHello, arriving Afghans and other newcomers will have access to accurate and reliable resources.”
– Amer Alfayadh, USAHello Board of Director & Founder of Communications Essentials LLC
