census 2020 online response

August 10, 2020 – it’s time to stand up and be counted in the Census 2020. Completing the Census form online is quick and easy!

Everybody in the USA needs to be counted in Census 2020 so that we get the funding and services our communities need. The Census is for everyone who lives in the United States and its 5 territories, whether they have documents or not.

Census workers will be visiting homes through September or October, but there are not enough workers or time to visit every home. To make sure you and your household members are counted, complete the Census online.

Is my Census 2020 data safe?

There is no question on the Census form about citizenship, and you will not be asked for a Social Security number. You can look at the questions before you fill out the form.

The information you give is private. By law, Census workers cannot give information to other government departments or to any people, including landlords and employers.

What is deadline for completing the Census?

There is some confusion about the last day we can complete the Census. So do not delay! The Census 2020 period was extended because of COVID-19, but to be sure of being counted, complete your form online before September 30.

How do I fill out the Census 2020 form online?

Go to the Census 2020 page and click RESPOND. Then choose your language. Enter your 12-digit ID number if you received one in the mail. If you did not receive a number, that is okay. Select « If you do not have a Census ID, click here. »

What if I cannot complete the form online?
