2025년 7월 17일 업데이트
Uniting for Ukraine is a parole program that allowed people from Ukraine to live and work in the USA temporarily. This parole program has been paused. Find information about what you can do now.

Program has been paused

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has paused the Uniting for Ukraine parole program.

What this means for applicants

If you were hoping to come to the U.S. through this program:

  • No new applications are being accepted.
  • Any pending applications will not be processed.
  • No new travel authorizations will be issued.

What this means for people with parole

If you are already in the U.S. with parole through this program:

  • Your parole is still valid until the expiration date.
  • Your work permit is still valid.
  • If you received a notice that your parole was ending, this is an error.
  • Your parole status could end soon.
  • You can not apply for re-parole through this program. Pending re-parole applications will be processed.
  • You should avoid travel outside of the U.S.
  • Immigration officials may review your case and decide to terminate your parole, which could lead to removal from the U.S.
  • You should act now to seek another legal status if you qualify.

How to prepare for your parole status ending

If you are currently in the U.S. with parole, we strongly recommend that you take action immediately:

As of May 28, 2025, a court ruling now requires the U.S. government to resume processing applications for people with humanitarian parole. This includes work permits, asylum, TPS, adjustment of status, and re-parole. Find updates with the Justice Action Center.
