FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In honor of Welcoming Week, USAHello launches Information Center for Ukrainians
The center provides essential translated information for Ukrainians coming to the USA

September 9, 2022, USA — USAHello is proud to announce the launch of its new Information Center for Ukrainians, a comprehensive online hub for newly arriving Ukrainians in the USA. Over 100,000 Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion have arrived on U.S. soil seeking refuge through various immigration channels. Facing an uncertain future at home and a myriad of immediate hurdles, our new Ukrainian neighbors need accessible and trustworthy information to navigate the challenges that lay ahead.

The center features content on humanitarian parole and available benefits, along with practical information on everything from finding a job to registering a child at school. The center is professionally translated into Ukrainian and Russian. Visitors to the center have access to the free FindHello app. A service finder that connects them to 5000+ local resources across the country and is now available in Ukrainian.

This effort follows USAHello’s Afghan Resource Center which was launched a year ago in partnership with Welcome.US. Since then, the center’s resources have been viewed over 185k times, demonstrating the strong need for translated information resources. The continued uncertainty surrounding legal status options has left nonprofits to take on the task of helping our newest neighbors navigate a failing immigration system.

Welcome.US was thrilled to partner with USAHello to launch the Afghan Resource Center, and we’re just as excited to see the launch of the Ukraine Information Center. Over the last year, we’ve learned that translation services are critical for ensuring that newcomers can fully utilize the resources and opportunities available to them. The Ukraine Information Center brings us one step closer to our collective goal of welcoming Ukrainian newcomers and creating a durable resettlement system.” – Nazanin Ash, CEO of Welcome.US

Having immigrated to the U.S. myself (from what is now Ukraine), I welcome the opportunity to give back by providing translations. This information is vital. It helps provide the foundation of understanding for Ukrainians of the American immigration process, culture, etc. I am grateful to USAHello for the services they provide.” -Ilya Kolodiychik | USAHello volunteer & Sr. Service Introduction Architect, Duck Creek Technologies
