This can be because of conflict or natural disasters. TPS and DED are temporary forms of immigration status. They do not give you any permanent immigration status. If you do not have TPS Afghanistan, you can apply now through May 20, 2025. If you are granted temporary protected status, it will be valid through May 20, 2025. If you already have TPS Afghanistan, you must re-register by November 24, 2023, to extend your status.
