Dear friends of USAHello,

For the last 6 years, USAHello’s GED® preparation class has helped thousands of refugees and immigrant students prepare for the GED® test. Getting a high school equivalency diploma has helped them achieve their goals. Our students are eager to get a better job, go on to college and improve their quality of life here in the USA.

With our course, students can study from the comfort of home or anywhere they have access to a computer, phone, or smart device. The course is self-paced, offering students the option to study when they have free time.

Thanks to the generous support of foundations and people like you, our GED® class is completely free and without ads. We look forward to launching a new version of the class in early 2022 that offers easy learning modules and other improvements. Donate today to support our efforts!

47.6% of our GED students take class in Spanish

Despite a noted increase in higher education amongst Latino immigrants arriving in the US, Migration Policy reported in 2018 that 44.6% of recent Mexican immigrants did not have a high school diploma, with Guatemalans at 61.4%, Hondurans at 50.2%, and El Salvadorans at 49.5%. USAHello has prioritized updating our Spanish offering of the course to meet the desire of Spanish-speaking immigrants to advance their education.

Meet Claudia, a mother of 8 children who arrived in the USA as a teenager from Mexico. Her pursuit of education has not been easy but fortunately, Claudia found support in our GED® preparation class to help her get closer to her dream of becoming a phlebotomist.
