TPS ምንድን ነው?
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a form of immigration status for people already in the United States. TPS is for people who cannot go back to their home country because of danger, such as an armed conflict or environmental disaster.
TPS ካለዎት የሚከተሉትን ማድረግ ይችላሉ፦
- ለተወሰነ ጊዜ በአሜሪካ ውስጥ በሕጋዊ መንገድ መቆየት
- በአሜሪካ ውስጥ የሥራ ፈቃድ ለማግኘት ማመልከት

ማመልከቻዎ እስኪፀድቅ ድረስ ከTPS ምንም አይነት ጥቅም አያገኙም። TPS ጊዜያዊ ነው። በሕግ የተደነገገ ቋሚ የመኖሪያ ፈቃድ፣ ዜግነት ወይም ማንኛውም ዓይነት ቋሚ የመኖሪያ ፈቃድ አይሰጥህም።

Who can have TPS for Ukraine?
If you already had TPS for Ukraine under a previous designation, you must have re-registered by March 18, 2025 to continue your benefits through October 19, 2026. If you were applying for the first time, you must have registered by April 19, 2025.
You must have also met the following requirements to apply:
- Be a national of Ukraine or a person without nationality who lived in Ukraine for a long time before arriving in the U.S.
- Have lived only in the U.S. since August 16, 2023
- Did not take trips outside the U.S. after October 20, 2023 that might impact eligibility

የስራ ፈቃድ
የሥራ ፈቃዶች ለ TPS ላላቸው ሰዎች የሚገኙ ሲሆን የሥራ ስምሪት ፈቃድ ሰነድ (EAD) በመባል ይታወቃሉ። ይህ በአሜሪካ ውስጥ እንዲሰሩ የተፈቀደላቸው መሆኑን አሠሪዎች ያሳያል.
You can apply for work authorization by filing Form I-765 and paying the fee.
If you applied for re-registration, DHS is automatically extending the expiration date of work permits to April 19, 2026. You can keep using your current work permit as proof of your right to work until April 2, 2026 if your work permit has a category of A12 or C19 and with one of the following expiration dates:
- April 19, 2025
- October 19, 2023
If you did not re-register before March 18, 2025, then your EAD has expired and is not automatically extended.
If you applied for re-registration with a new EAD application, then after approval, you will be issued a new EAD with an October 19, 2026 expiration date.
If you had an initial TPS application and EAD application pending as of January 17, 2025, then after approval, you will be issued an EAD with an October 19, 2026 expiration date.

TPS ጊዜው ሲያበቃ ምን ይሆን?
DHS will review country conditions before it is set to expire. Be prepared for the possibility that it will end. If TPS Ukraine expires, you will have the same immigration status you had before getting TPS.
ከTPS በተጨማሪ ሌላ ህጋዊ የኢሚግሬሽን ሁኔታ ከሌለዎት ሰነድ አልባ ይሆናሉ እና የሥራ ፈቃድዎን ያጣሉ። ሕጋዊ ሁኔታ ሳይኖርዎት ከቆዩ በቁጥጥር ስር ውለው የመባረር አደጋ ተጋርጦባቸዋል።
እንዴት መዘጋጀት እንደሚቻል
- ከኢሚግሬሽን ጠበቃ ጋር ይነጋግሩ። የህግ እርዳታ መጠየቅ እና በአሜሪካ ውስጥ ለመቆየት አማራጮችዎን መማር አስፈላጊ ነው
- ለሌላ የኢሚግሬሽን ሁኔታ ያመልክቱ ብቁ ከሆኑ። ጥገኝነት፣ ህጋዊ ቋሚ ሁኔታ (ግሪን ካርድ) ወይም ሌላ የአሜሪካ ቪዛ ለማግኘት ብቁ መሆንዎን ያረጋግጡ።
- ለICE ዝግጁ ይሁኑ. ያለ ሰነድ ከሆኑ እና ወኪሎች ወደ ቤትዎ ወይም ወደ ሥራዎ ቢመጡ ምን ማድረግ እንዳለብዎ ይወቁ። መብቶችዎን እና እንዴት የደህንነት ዕቅድ መፍጠር እንደሚችሉ ይወቁ።
- መረጃ ይኑርዎት. በአዲሱ አስተዳደር ውስጥ ስለተደረጉ የኢሚግሬሽን ለውጦች የበለጠ ይወቁ።
