TPS South Sudan is ending

South Sudan’s TPS designation is ending. The last day of TPS is January 5, 2026. After that date:

  • People from South Sudan with TPS will no longer have this protection.
  • Work permits through TPS will no longer be valid.

Work permits

If your TPS work permit (EAD) was set to expire on November 3, 2025, it is now automatically extended through January 5, 2026. You can keep using it as proof that you are allowed to work until that date.
