USAHello helps millions of immigrants navigate life in the United States with clear, multilingual information they can trust.

Whether understanding the asylum process, accessing local benefits, avoiding scams, or planning for the future, our digital tools meet people where they are — with clarity, dignity, and respect.

What We Do

USAHello is a national online information and learning platform that makes essential guidance accessible to immigrants across the United States.

Language differences, complex systems, and limited access to reliable sources can make information difficult to use, especially in moments when decisions matter.

We provide multilingual, easy-to-understand resources designed for real-life situations, and we continuously adapt our content in response to policy changes, misinformation, and emerging needs.

Our platform includes:

We design everything to be:

  • Available in multiple languages and written so that anyone can understand.
  • Easy to find through search, so that people can quickly access answers in their own language.
  • Mobile-friendly and delivered in diverse formats, including written text, video, and community-driven social media.

Why It Matters

Millions of immigrants in the United States face significant barriers to accessing clear and reliable information. Language differences, complex systems, and limited trusted sources can make even basic decisions difficult.

In today’s environment, these challenges are often compounded by rapid policy changes, widespread misinformation, and increased uncertainty. People may need to make important decisions quickly, often without access to in-person support.

When information is unclear or misleading, the consequences can be real: missed opportunities, exposure to scams, or decisions made without fully understanding risk.

USAHello exists to close this gap by providing information that is not only accurate but usable in real-world situations. Our goal is to help people feel more prepared and better able to navigate what comes next.

How We Work

We build and maintain a digital system that delivers clear, actionable information to millions of people.

Our work is guided by these core principles:

  • Digital-first and scalable: We use technology to reach millions efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Designed for accessibility: We create multilingual, mobile-first, and plain-language resources, optimized for online discovery, ensuring everyone can find and understand vital information.
  • Timely and responsive: We adapt quickly to policy changes and misinformation trends.
  • User-centered: We design with the real experiences and priorities of immigrant communities in mind.
  • Practical and action-oriented: We focus on information that supports decisions and next steps.
  • Grounded in trust: We work with legal experts, service providers, and community members to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Everything we create is designed to be clear, useful, and trustworthy — because good information only matters if people can use it.

Our Impact

In 2025, more than 3 million people accessed our resources, with the majority engaging in a language other than English.

Our virtual classroom supported over 100,000 learners, primarily preparing for the GED exam, along with educators and community members building skills for citizenship and civic participation. We are expanding this work to include new learning opportunities focused on digital safety, misinformation, and civic engagement.

Our work helps immigrants:

  • Make informed decisions about legal processes, safety, and daily life
  • Find services and support they didn’t know were available
  • Build knowledge and practical skills for real-life situations
  • Move from survival to stability

This individual impact contributes to something larger: a more informed, inclusive, and connected society.

Our Story

USAHello was founded in 2011 as the Refugee Center Online in response to a gap in accessible digital information for newly arriving refugees. As the digital divide persisted — especially for people with limited English and few local connections — our work expanded to serve immigrants of all backgrounds in the U.S.

In 2019, we became USAHello to reflect a broader, more inclusive mission. That same year, we also helped launch ItaliaHello, a sister platform serving migrants in Europe.

Today, USAHello reaches millions of people each year. As the information landscape and the challenges facing immigrant communities continue to shift, we are continually adapting — ensuring that clear, trustworthy guidance remains available when it is needed most.

USAHello is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN 45-3789421). Our annual financial statements are available here.
