Pansamantalang protektadong katayuan (TPS) para sa South Sudan

Na-update noong Hulyo 10, 2026
TPS South Sudan is still valid for now because a court has temporarily paused the termination. Your TPS and work permit remain valid while the court case continues, but this will likely change.

What is TPS?

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) allows people from certain countries to stay and work in the U.S. if it is not safe for them to return home due to war, disasters, or other emergencies.

Is TPS for South Sudan still valid?

Yes, people from South Sudan with TPS still have this protection due to a court case.

Separately, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the government can move forward with ending TPS for Haiti and Syria. This ruling will likely affect the court case for TPS South Sudan.
