Pansamantalang protektadong katayuan (TPS) para sa Sudan

Na-update noong Agosto 14, 2026
TPS Sudan will end on October 19, 2026. TPS and related benefits remain valid through that date for people who already have it.

What is TPS?

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) allows people from certain countries to stay and work in the U.S. if it is not safe for them to return home due to war, disasters, or other emergencies.

Is TPS for Sudan still valid?

Yes.

USCIS lists October 19, 2026, as the termination date. This means TPS benefits will no longer be valid after that date.

Can I still work with a TPS El Salvador EAD?

Yes.

If you have a current TPS-based work permit, it should be valid through October 19, 2026.

You may still be able to work after that if you have a valid work permit through another immigration status or application.

What happens when TPS expires?

If you do not have another legal immigration status besides TPS, you will become undocumented and lose your work authorization. If you stay without legal status, you will risk being detained, put in removal proceedings, and deported.
