Emma Yaaka

Emma Yaaka was born and raised from Uganda and currently serves as a U.S Refugee Advisory Board member, Refugee Congress Delegate for Illinois, and Advisor for Sparking Change project under UNHCR for USA. In his day job, Emma provides direct services to refugees and immigrants as long-term case management supervisor at Heartland Human Care Services in Chicago, IL.
Emma also the Director of WordOut community channel, a YouTube Channel that bridge the gap between service providers and refugees, inform of resources/information through hosting people making positive impact to lives of displaced people in the world.
Emma is a dedicated and passionate advocate for local, national and global refugee and immigrant rights. Emma uses his own lives experiences to inspire, motivate, support, and educate his community.
