TPS for Afghanistan has ended
The last day of TPS was July 21, 2025. As of this date:
- People from Afghanistan with TPS will no longer have this protection.
- Work permits through TPS will no longer be valid
The decision to end TPS for Afghanistan is being challenged in court. It is not certain if that will lead to any changes.

TPS 过期后怎么办？
If you do not have another legal immigration status besides TPS, you will become undocumented and lose your work authorization. If you stay without legal status, you will risk being detained, put in removal proceedings, and deported.
