TPS for Cameroon has ended

The last day of TPS was August 4, 2025. As of this date:

  • People from Cameroon with TPS will no longer have this protection.
  • Work permits through TPS will no longer be valid.

The decision to end TPS for Cameroon is being challenged in court. It is not certain if that will lead to any changes.

What happens when TPS expires?

If you do not have another legal immigration status besides TPS, you will become undocumented and lose your work authorization. If you stay without legal status, you will risk being detained and deported.
