Resignation letter sample

If you are leaving your job, you may need a resignation letter sample. It will help you to write your own letter.

You can use this resignation letter sample as a base to write a letter with your own name, dates, and other information. Download or copy the sample and change the words to suit your situation.

Make the changes you need to this letter before you see your employer to tell them you are leaving your job. Then print it out and sign it with a pen. If you cannot print it it out, copy it by hand and sign it.

Hand the letter to your employer after you tell them that you have decided to leave your job. Make sure you give at least two weeks’ notice.

I am writing to inform you that I am resigning from my job with your [company/organization, or enter the name of company here]. My last day will be [month, date, year].

I have appreciated my time working for you and the experience that I have gained.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if there are forms or other requirements you need me to complete before I leave.
